NZ Public Data, Made Accessible

I moved to New Zealand in 2025 and started asking questions the data could answer. Now I'm making the answers free for everyone.

Every dataset tells a story about life in New Zealand. These are the ones I'm building next.

About

I'm Kai, a data analyst and developer based in Auckland. I moved to New Zealand in 2025 and quickly found that a lot of the data that affects everyday life here — supermarket prices, fuel costs, school results, rental markets — is either locked behind paywalls, scattered across government PDFs, or simply not being tracked.

So I started building pipelines to collect, clean, and publish it. Everything on this site is free, updated automatically, and built with no ads and no agenda. The code is open source where possible.

If you find this useful, follow along on X or Reddit. I'd love to hear what data you wish was easier to access in NZ.
